Several baby goats at a mobile petting zoo based in Iredell County have tested positive for rabies. They may have been in direct contact with people at public events across multiple counties while infectious.
If you had contact with baby goats from the Farm Adventures mobile petting zoo between July 28 and August 27, 2026, either at their location in Harmony, NC or at an off-site event, contact your local health department immediately to determine if medications are needed to prevent infection.
Organizers of the events where the goats were present are also being notified and additional information about potential exposure locations will be released once available.
